Here's what you should know:
Coffee addict, Pittsburgh advocate, college opt-out, Harry Potter nerd, wanna-be author, and an artist to my very core.
I was homeschooled from kindergarten through seventh grade, and I owe everything I am today to that wonderful chunk of my childhood. It was then when I developed my love for art and creating, and over time I was able to grow those passions into hard skills that I could build a business with.
Homeschooling allowed me to grow up with the mindset of being extremely comfortable with unconventional paths, because while I knew homeschooling wasn't necessarily "normal," it was my normal. I knew as early as eighth grade that I didn't want to go to college, and I rounded out my educational career with art school, cyber school, and public school. I started HPMedia in 10th grade, and was dedicated to growing it part-time throughout high school. I graduated in 2016, and soon after started an apprenticeship/entrepreneurship program called Praxis. I was at my apprenticeship at a digital marketing agency for 4 months, and in January of 2017 I went full-time with HPMedia.
It's still hard to believe I get to wake up every day and create. When I was four or five years old, I remember people beginning to ask me what I wanted to be when I grew up, and my answer was always an artist. I believe one of my missions on this earth is to help other young creatives realize just how possible it is to build a creative career for themselves. If I can do it, you can too!
